Hironori Morito, Marumo Ltd.

Hironori Morito created his company, Viva Ltd., in response to an extended period of personal illness brought on by the stress of the over-extended work schedule he maintained as a successful businessman. He treated himself by eating a healthy diet, and managed to fully recover his health. Since then he has dedicated his life to helping people live healthy, full lives by maintaining a healthy diet. Viva Ltd. is a natural food production company that is committed to providing healthy food in the Japanese market.
Hironori’s company was initially started as a retail business, but it proved so successful that he soon added a wholesale division, followed by a manufacturing division called Marumo Ltd., which includes Club Marumore Ltd. and Sanyu Commercial Company, among others. He is systematically expanding his business, focusing on increasing production volumes and constantly improving the quality of his products. He is continually developing and distributing new high-quality food products in Japan.
Hironori feels strongly that developing business opportunities outside of Japan is vitally important to the expansion and diversification of his business. He travels widely to develop new international business relationships. In 1989, he started handling rooibos tea from South Africa; grape seed oil from France; sea salt from Christmas Island; mozuku seaweed, and one of its components, fokoidan, from the Republic of Kiribati; Noni juice from Tahiti; ants from China, and many other products from across the globe. At the foundation of all of his national and international business pursuits is his commitment to improving human health.
One of his newest business relationships aims to help diversify the economy of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Prince Edward Island is well known in Japan as the home of Anne of Green Gables. With the support of Prince Edward Island’s provincial government, Hironori hopes that this collaborative initiative between his company and Anne’s PEI Farm will encourage the development of more organic farming initiatives in other locations around the world. He also hopes that highlighting the opportunities for marketing organic products in Japan will help to facilitate the transition of Prince Edward Island’s agriculture system to 100% organic farming methods in the future. He feels that being entirely organic would provide Prince Edward Island with a unique marketing advantage that few if any places in the world are currently able to claim.
Anne’s PEI Farm’s mandate fits perfectly with Hironori’s personal dream and professional goal of supporting human health with high-quality natural food products. Hironori is certain that his relationship with Anne’s PEI Farm will be a great success through diligent work and the continued support of customers like you. He is proud to introduce Anne’s PEI Farm products to you.
